Saharanpur Lok Sabha seat: What does the caste equation say on the Muslim dominated seat

Saharanpur, March 09 (HS). The Lok Sabha elections in 2024 are now very close, in such a situation the discussions about victory and defeat regarding the elections have started in full swing. Political leaders have also intensified the race for tickets.

Let us talk about the first Lok Sabha seat of Uttar Pradesh, Saharanpur. There are more than seven lakh Muslim voters in this Muslim dominated seat. Apart from this, including eleven lakh Hindu and other voters, a total of 18 lakh voters live here. Muslim voters in this seat are considered to play an important role in spoiling or improving the equations of political bigwigs. This is the reason why in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the people of Saharanpur elected a Muslim candidate and sent him to the Lok Sabha. Presently Haji Fazur Rahman of BSP is the MP from this seat.

This time in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BJP is leaving no stone unturned to capture this seat. This is the reason why BJP is also trying to woo Muslim voters to make lotus bloom on this seat. In the last Lok Sabha elections, BSP candidate Haji Fazular Rahman got 5,14,139 votes. BJP's Raghav Lakhanpal Sharma, who stood second, got 4,91,722 votes.
