Sadhvi Radha Giri demanded the removal of illegal construction on the banks of Ganga

Haridwar, June 25 (HS). Baba Amir Giri Dham's Paramadhyaksha Mahant Sadhvi Radha Giri has demanded action alleging illegal construction near Thokar No. 12 in Bhupatwala on the banks of the Ganga.

During a press conference at the Press Club on Tuesday, Mahant Sadhvi Radha Giri said that contrary to the rules, a gate is being constructed by an organization in the name of beautification at a distance of about 50 meters from the Ganga bank. Due to the construction, many green trees have also been cut down. In this regard, a complaint has been made to all the concerned departments including Uttar Pradesh Irrigation Department, Uttarakhand Irrigation Department, HRDA and Forest Department. The illegal encroachment being done on the land of the Irrigation Department should be removed immediately.

Mahant Sadhvi Radha Giri said that the Forest Minister has also been apprised of the entire matter. The government should investigate the illegal encroachment being done by ignoring the rules and take action against the concerned people. She said that she will soon meet Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in this regard and apprise him of the entire matter.
