Mumbai: The special court hearing the 2008 Malegaon bomb blast case has ordered former BJP MP Pragya Singh Thakur to appear in the court on Thursday. Otherwise the court will pass appropriate order against them.
Special Judge A. Of. Lahoti was hearing the final arguments of the case. Meanwhile, Thakur's lawyer requested for exemption from appearing in the court till his health improves.
His lawyer argued that Thakur was shifted from Bhopal to a private hospital in Meerut because his health was deteriorating and his eyesight was weakening.
Refusing to grant permanent exemption, the court has asked the lawyer to apply for exemption at every hearing and produce Thakur on Thursday. The court said, if they do not appear then the court will pass appropriate orders.
