Katihar, 21 October (Hindustan Reporter). The police have successfully solved the murder case that took place in the Muffasil police station area of the district. In this case, the police arrested three accused on Monday and sent them to judicial custody. Deceased Vishnu Kumar Mandal's father Genalal Mandal was a resident of Bhoothabadi Dilarpur of Manihari police station area.
The arrested accused include Sanjay Mandal father Latai Mandal, Fatkan Mandal father Sanjay Mandal and Sweety Devi alias Tamanna Khatun husband Fatkan Mandal. All three accused are residents of Ward No. 24 Korea Tola Baigna of Nagar police station area.
The family members of deceased Vishnu Kumar Mandal had filed a complaint of kidnapping by unknown people. During investigation, Vishnu's body was recovered from a water-filled pit along the railway line near Koriyapatti Baigana under Mufassil police station area.
In this context, Sadar-1 SDPO Abhijeet Kumar said that police investigation revealed that the family members of Sweety Devi alias Tamanna Khatun had murdered Vishnu, because Vishnu had a deep relationship with Sweety. The accused murdered Vishnu, tied his body in a sack and threw it near the railway line.
Police have also recovered the exposed body of the deceased's Hero motorcycle from the house of the accused. Two other accused, Manoj Mandal alias Manna and Sonu Mandal, are still absconding. Police is searching for them.
In this case, case number 227/24 was registered in Muffasil police station. Police have assured to take strict action against the accused. This action will help teach the criminals a lesson.
