Sabudana Kheer Recipe, Navratri 2024: The festival of Shardiya Navratri starts from 3rd October, during which many people fast. Then fruits are consumed during the fast. Different recipes of sago can be made during the fast. So today we are going to tell you the recipe of making Sabudana Kheer.
If you are fasting for nine days of Shardiya Navratri, then you can make sago kheer as a fruit meal. Sago kheer is easy to digest and keeps the body energetic. It is also very easy to make.
Ingredients to make Sabudana Kheer
- 1/2 cup soap
- 2 spoons ghee
- 1 liter milk
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
- 1/4 cup sugar (as per taste)
- Almonds, cashews (finely chopped) for decoration.
How to make Sabudana Kheer
- First of all wash with soap water two-three times.
- – Then soak it in water for 4-5 hours.
- Meanwhile, the soap will absorb the water well and will swell and become soft.
- – Now pour milk in a pan and heat it on medium flame.
- When the milk starts boiling, add soaked soap grains into it and cook while stirring with the help of a ladle.
- Meanwhile, reduce the gas flame to low.
- Cook sago until it dissolves well in milk.
- When the pudding becomes thick, add sugar and ghee as per taste and mix well.
- After this, add cardamom powder to it, mix it with bitter gourd and cook the halwa for some time.
- – After this, turn off the gas and decorate the halwa with chopped almonds and cashews.
- If the halwa is served after it cools down, its taste increases even more.
