Sabarmati Express Train Accident: The Sabarmati Express going from Varanasi to Ahmedabad derailed near Bhimsen station in Kanpur. A high level investigation has been ordered into the incident. The IB is also involved in the investigation.
Railway Minister Ashwin Vaishnav said that Sabarmati Express was going from Varanasi to Ahmedabad, when the train collided with a stone placed on the track. Then the train derailed after colliding with something placed on the track near Kanpur at around 2.35 am today. Its marks have also been seen. The evidence is safe. IB and UP Police are investigating.
According to ANI report, the train driver said that the train derailed due to hitting a rock. The front cattle guard part of the train has been damaged. However, there is no news of any passenger or employee being injured.
Another train was arranged for onward journey to Ahmedabad, where Helpline number disclosed . The railway administration has provided all kinds of facilities for the convenience of passengers. Along with this, a helpline number has also been announced.
