Berlin: External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar held extensive talks with German Foreign Minister Annalena Berbock. Ukraine and Gaza were at the centre of the war. Along with this, maintaining peace in the Indo-Pacific region was also discussed. Apart from this, agreements were also signed in the areas of trade, investment, technology and defence.
Jaishankar, who attended the first India-Gulf Cooperation Council-Ministerial Meeting held in Saudi Arabia, arrived here this morning and held extensive talks with Berbock. Jaishankar wrote about this in his post.
Extensive talks were held with Foreign Minister A. Berbock, focusing on achieving a strategic partnership between India and Germany. Trade and capital investment were the main topics and exchange of skilled workers was also discussed.
Along with this, S Jaishankar wrote that the main issue during the talks remained focused on Ukraine and Gaza war as well as the Indo-Pacific region.
Jaishankar invited Annalina Barebok to participate in the 7th Intergovernmental Consultations to be held in India on these issues, which she accepted.
