Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar on Tuesday expressed concern about the Russia-Ukraine war and international tension and also gave a big statement regarding it. He said that no solution can be found on the battlefield and both sides should come forward for talks as soon as possible.

He said, we cannot remain mere spectators. We have to take initiative in these struggles. This may be difficult, but it is important to try to find common ground. India’s diplomatic efforts are in this direction. Jaishankar said that India has established communication with both Moscow and Kiev.

On the 1000th day of the Russia-Ukraine war, Jaishankar called it a serious threat to global stability. He said that not only Europe, but the entire world is suffering from conflict. Due to which everyone’s life is affected. The solution to this problem is possible only through diplomacy.

Jaishankar also expressed deep concern about the ongoing conflict in West Asia. He said that in such difficult times the international community should make efforts, no matter how challenging. Describing international initiatives as the need of the hour, Jaishankar said that countries should take concrete steps towards reconciliation.
