According to retired Air Marshal Jitendra Mishra, the S-400 air defense system had emerged as the biggest threat for Pakistan. The lethality of this deadly defense system was such that Pakistani fighter planes could not muster the courage to fly even within a radius of 200 kilometers from the Indian border. In its helplessness and panic, Pakistan adopted every possible trick to find out the location of S-400 and activated its sleeper cells and spies hidden inside India, so that clues about the locations of this air defense system could be found. Not only this, Pakistan also got satellite based intelligence help from some other countries in this work, but despite this it completely failed to penetrate the Indian defense network.

Befitting reply to Pahalgam attack and Pakistan’s panic

Throwing light on the background of this operation, the Air Marshal said that it was launched to give a strong response to Pakistan’s nefarious Pahalgam terror attack in which 25 innocent tourists lost their lives. The government had given clear instructions that no harm should be caused to civilians and the military forces were given complete ‘operational freedom’. In the initial phase, India destroyed nine terrorist hideouts of Jaish and Lashkar, in response to which Pakistan launched unsuccessful attacks with drones and missiles on Adampur airbase, after which the Indian Army destroyed Pakistan’s ground radar and command-and-control center and made it completely ‘blind and paralyzed’.

Longest surface-to-air kill in military history

When the Pakistani Army resorted to Airborne Warning System (AWACS) aircraft from Sargodha to hide its shortcomings, the Indian S-400 operator made a historic strike and destroyed it in the sky at a distance of 314 kilometers. It is considered the longest surface-to-air kill in military history. Apart from this, during the operation the women fighter pilots also displayed unprecedented courage and caused heavy damage to several military bases of Pakistan including the Muridke headquarters of LeT.

Pakistan came to its knees, asked for ceasefire within a few hours
