Russia News: Vladimir Putin takes oath as President for the fifth time, boycott these countries

Vladimir Putin has once again become the President of Russia. Russian President Vladimir Putin took the oath of office for the fifth time. On Tuesday, an oath of 33 words was taken at the Grand Kremlin Palace for the next six years.

Due to Russia's war in Ukraine, this grand oath ceremony was boycotted in many western countries including America, Canada, Britain. The Grand Kremlin Palace is where three kings of Russia, Alexander-II, Alexander-III and Nicholas-II, were sworn in as kings. Putin took the oath of office for the first time in 2002. Since then he has become President in 2004, 2012 and 2018.

Putin has been in power as President and Prime Minister continuously since 1999. He begins his new term more than two years after thousands of soldiers were killed in Russia's war with Ukraine.

After taking oath as the President of Russia, Putin said that we will become stronger. We will try to improve relations with those countries which consider us enemies. I will try my best to maintain public trust. 88 percent votes were received in the elections held on March 15-17 in Russia. Anti-Putin Nikolay Kharitonov got only four percent of the votes.

Apart from this, Lokmukh in Russia discussed that Putin had a hand in the death of Nevenli, who was considered a staunch opponent of Putin. Yet the anti-Putin movement did not intensify and Putin returned to power.
