Rural women’s skills get digital market; 1,537 products onboard on e-Saras, Uttar Pradesh becomes number one in the country, Keshav Prasad Maurya


Uttar Pradesh has set a new record in the country on the e-SARAS portal developed by the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India to provide a wider market to the products of self-help groups. Till June 30, 2026, 1,537 rural products of the state have been onboarded on e-Saras and total sales of ₹ 1.07 crore have been recorded across all platforms combined. Uttar Pradesh has become the state with the highest number of products onboarded on e-Saras and has also become the first state in the country to register sales of more than ₹1 crore. Rural women of Uttar Pradesh are now not only the economic cornerstone of the family but are also becoming the new identity of the rural economy and entrepreneurship of the state. Under the guidance of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya, the efforts being made to link the skills of rural women with the market have achieved great success.

According to Mission Director Shri Arun Kumar, special emphasis is being laid on connecting local, traditional, handicrafts, food and other products of women of self-help groups with the digital market. Wooden products of Bijnor, bags and shirts of Farrukhabad, crockery of Khurja of Bulandshahr, footballs of Meerut, wooden products of Varanasi and famous glass bangles of Firozabad are reaching customers across the country through e-Saras.
