Any Indian citizen can apply under the scheme. However he must also have a house with a roof. Along with this, the electricity bill should be in the name of a member of the household.
How to apply
To apply online you have to follow the steps given below.
1. Official Website https://pmsuryagarh.gov.in Go to.
2. Select the state, power distribution company.
3. Then register electricity bill number, mobile number, email for registration. After this you will have to log in to your account and apply online. After approval, solar panels will have to be installed from the registered vendor of Discom.
4. After installing plant details, net meter will have to be installed. After this, bank details and canceled check will have to be submitted. Then the subsidy will be available within 30 days.
How much subsidy will you get?
If you install 1 to 2 kilowatt solar panel, you will get a subsidy of Rs 30 thousand to Rs 60 thousand. In this way, installing a 2 to 3 kilowatt solar panel will cost 60 to 78 thousand rupees and if you install a 3 kilowatt solar panel, you will have to pay a subsidy of 78 thousand rupees. According to the report of Croma website, to run 1.5 ton AC, 2.5 or 3 kilowatt solar panel is required. About 10 solar panels of 250 watts will have to be installed.
