According to the new rule, users will have to update their KYC process for FASTag. Under the new rules, Fastag accounts that are five years or older will have to be changed on Thursday, August 1. For this, the Fastag user will have to check the insurance date of his account. And if necessary, the Fastag card will have to be replaced by the authority. Old Fastag accounts will be invalidated. The new rule will be applicable in all the states and union territories of the country.
Apart from this, FASTeg accounts which are more than three years old or older need to get KYC done again. The last date for getting KYC from the FASTag service is October 31. A point of caution is that if the KYC process is not completed between August 1 and the deadline, the FASTag account may be blacklisted.
How to do KYC
It is very easy to do KYC. For this, you need to have all the documents of your car. Apart from this, the ID card of the car owner is also required. While updating KYC, it is necessary to upload clear front and rear photos of your vehicle. Users should complete their KYC process by 31 October 2024.
