BJP claims that a section of BJP workers have not been allowed to sit since morning. They were beaten to such an extent that they were not even able to stand. Police came but could not do anything. Villagers also complained that Trinamool supporters miscreants prevented them from voting.

But when he went to sit at the booth, he was caught and beaten. Meanwhile, as soon as the information about the incident was received, the election officials reached there. The commission has started an investigation in view of the incident.
Voting was scheduled to begin at 7 am, but voting was disrupted at booth 40 and 41 of Mariganj Zone 2. Later, voting was resumed there by bringing alternative EVMs. It is worth noting that such a scene was seen at many places in the state during the Panchayat elections. There the ballot boxes were thrown into the water.
The BJP candidate told the media, “The women of the village gathered at booth number 41 and 42 to stop the agents from sitting. Their claimants should be allowed to sit. But the ruling party stopped it. They do not want to let the agents sit. So all the women united and threw the EVMs in the water.
