News India Live, Digital Desk: Whenever it comes to going to RTO office, does sweat appear on your forehead? Many of us have faced all this at one time or the other, long queues, waiting for hours and sometimes huge demands from agents to get the work done.
But, now the time has come to take a sigh of relief. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has taken a big step to ease the lives of the common people. Now you do not need to rush to the RTO office to get your small work done.
Now 58 jobs will be completely online (Faceless Services)
The government has selected about 58 such services for which your physical presence is no longer required. This ‘Faceless Service’ Has been named. This simply means that neither will anyone see your face nor will you meet any official—everything will be automated through the system.
Which essential services are included in this?
Earlier, the tasks for which you had to take leave can now be done at home:
- Learner License: Now there is no need to go to RTO to give the test. Give the online test sitting in front of the computer at home and take a print out as soon as you pass.
- License Renewal (DL Renewal): Is the validity of the license expiring? Apply online, verify Aadhaar and get the new license delivered to your home by post.
- Duplicate License: If the license is lost or torn, it is now very easy to get it rebuilt.
- Address Change: Now you will not have to go to the office to change the address in driving license or RC.
- International Driving Permit: Getting permits for those going abroad is also now online.
- Transfers and Permits: Changing the name of the vehicle owner (Ownership Transfer) and permit related work are also now included in this list.

The ‘magic key’ to this entire facility is yours. Aadhaar CardIf your mobile number is linked to your Aadhaar card, you are king! The system will verify your identity through Aadhaar OTP, which eliminates the need to visit RTO,
how to apply?
The method is very simple:
- First official website parivahan.gov.in Go to.
- Go to the ‘Online Services’ tab there.
- Select ‘Driving License Related Services’ or ‘Vehicle Related Services’.
- Select your state and then select the option ‘Aadhaar Authentication’.
- Fill in your details, upload documents and pay the fees.
