East Champaran, July 11 (HS). Criminals have committed robbery in Spandana Spurti Bank located in Harsiddhi Bazar of Harsiddhi police station area of the district. The incident is said to have happened at around 10 o'clock last night.
Last night, the employees of Spandana Spurti Bank were working in the office. Meanwhile, about five armed goons came and first beat up the employees at gunpoint and then committed robbery. During this, they fled with Rs 7 lakh 98 thousand kept in the office, about which the employees informed the Harsiddhi police station. The police reached the spot on receiving the information and are trying to identify the criminals on the basis of CCTV footage.
Mukesh Kumar, an employee of Spandana Spurti Bank, said that last night around 9.30 to 10 pm, five masked criminals entered the bank. During this, they first beat up the people and then ran away after looting Rs. 7 lakh 98 thousand kept in the bank at gunpoint.
Areraj DSP Ranjan Kumar said that as soon as the information about the incident was received, a team was sent to the spot for investigation. Along with this, two suspects are being questioned. On the basis of suspicion, the bank employees present at the spot when the incident took place are also being questioned.
