A customer orders a pastry worth Rs 170 but has to pay tax of Rs 32.55 on it. Packaging charge of Rs 39 and delivery charge of Rs 50 has been imposed on this. In this way, an additional charge of Rs 121.55 including delivery charge has been imposed on an item worth Rs 170.

The bill for ordering pastries online has become a topic of discussion among people on social media. For ordering this pastry worth Rs 170 online, the customer had to pay Rs 297.

The customer has paid tax of around Rs 121 on this pastry. Users are commenting on this post. On this bill, LinkedIn users say that food delivery is no longer cheap in India. Home delivery has become costlier by almost 50 percent. Earlier this year, Zomato had increased the fees charged by the platform for food delivery. In the company's core markets it was earlier priced at Rs. 3 to Rs. 4 done. This 33 percent increase has come into effect from January 1.
