Haryana Government Scholarship Scheme for Students: Whether you are studying in school or college, graduation or post graduation… you have a chance to get a good scholarship. Under this government scholarship scheme, you will be given up to Rs 12 thousand every year. Haryana government is providing this facility to the students of the state. The name of the scholarship scheme under which you will get this benefit is – Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Scholarship Scheme. The application process for session 2024-25 has started.
Dr. Ambedkar Meritorious Student Scheme: Who will get the benefit?
This scheme is being run by Haryana Government for the meritorious students of deprived class. The aim of the state government is that the education of any meritorious student should not be affected due to financial reasons. Block Education Officer Sagir Ahmed said that under the Dr. Ambedkar Meritorious Students Revised Scheme, online applications have started on the Saral portal (https://saralharyana.gov.in/) for the period 2024-25.
The eligibility criteria for Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Student Scheme are as follows-
- Scheduled Caste (SC Category) urban students who have 70% marks in 10th, 75% marks in 12th and 65% marks in graduation can apply for this scholarship.
- Similarly, Scheduled Caste (SC) students living in villages must have 60% marks in 10th, 70% marks in 12th and 60% marks in graduation.
- Similarly, for Backward Class-A (BC) students living in the city, there should be 70 percent marks in 10th and 60 percent marks in rural areas.
- Backward Class-B urban students should have 80 percent marks in 10th and rural students should have 75 percent marks, only then they will be eligible for the scheme.
- For Dr. Ambedkar Medhavi Student Revised Scheme, the annual income of the student's family should be less than Rs 4 lakh.
How much amount will be given in Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship?
Eligible candidates applying will be given Rs 8,000 per year on passing 10th, SC applicants will be given Rs 8 to 10 thousand per year on passing 12th and Rs 9 to 12 thousand per year for further studies after graduation.
These documents are necessary
Documents like family income certificate, residential certificate, bank pass book, ID card or proof of current class studied, mark sheet, family ID etc. will have to be attached with the application.
