During this, the criminals also beat up the businessman. The incident took place in Kritpur Mathiya village. The businessman, in his injured state, gave verbal information about the incident to Harsiddhi police station and went to Gorakhpur for treatment. Despite not receiving a written complaint, DSP Ranjan Kumar's team continued to solve the robbery case. As a result, the team solved the robbery case and arrested four criminals involved in the robbery and recovered the looted sixty-five thousand rupees. Giving information, DSP Ranjan Kumar said that businessman Anand Prakash Ojha of Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, filed an FIR on Sunday in Harsiddhi police station regarding the robbery of twelve lakh rupees. According to the FIR lodged, businessman Anand Prakash was called to take twelve lakh rupees in exchange for giving twenty-four lakh rupees in torn notes. But when the said businessman reached the called place with the money, he was beaten up and twelve lakh rupees were looted from him.

Taking immediate action, the DSP team arrested Shahnawaz Khan, son of Romal Khan of Maharajganj district of Uttar Pradesh, Amarendra Singh, son of Tej Bahadur Singh of Kritpur Mathia village of Harsiddhi police station area, Ranjan Kumar alias Chotan Thakur, son of Rajaram Thakur of Bagha village and Satyam Kumar, son of Birendra Prasad of Kamal Pipra of Paharpur police station area. Rs 60,000 of looted money was recovered from them. Apart from the DSP, the raiding team included Harsiddhi police station head Nirbhay Kumar, SI Ravi Ranjan Kumar, PSI Avinash Kumar, Amit Kumar, Chowkidar Tafseer Alam and Ram Babu Yadav along with other police personnel. It is noteworthy that this gang is run by Chotan Thakur and Satyam of Bagha, who have been involved in looting for about two years. The police is investigating this case and is looking for the leader of this gang.
