The wait of lakhs of candidates who appeared for the Section Controller (CEN 04/2025) recruitment examination in Indian Railways is over. The result, cut-off marks and official scorecard of Section Controller Recruitment Exam for various regional zones (RRB Prayagraj, RRB Chandigarh, RRB Mumbai, RRB Kolkata, RRB Patna etc.) has been released by Railway Recruitment Board (RRB). Candidates who were part of this recruitment drive can check their selection status and individual marks online through their respective regional RRB portal and centralized login link. Candidates declared successful are being invited for the next stage i.e. Document Verification (DV) and Medical Examination as per the selection process for the post.
Railway Recruitment Board has conducted this selection process to fill a total of 368 vacancies of Section Controller. The result has been made available in two different formats. The first format is the zone-wise PDF merit list, which contains the roll numbers of the eligible candidates shortlisted for the next stage in a sequential order. The second format is the individual scorecard, which clearly shows the name of the candidate, roll number, total marks obtained in the examination, normalized score and qualifying status for the next stage. The final merit list of the candidates is prepared on the basis of combined performance in Written Computer Based Examination (CBT – 70% weightage) and Aptitude Test (CBAT – 30% weightage).
As per the official rules of RRB, it is mandatory for the candidates to achieve category wise minimum qualifying percentage. Minimum 40% marks are prescribed for General Category (UR) and Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Whereas the minimum qualifying marks for Other Backward Class (OBC-NCL) and Scheduled Caste (SC) have been fixed at 30% and for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates, 25% marks have been fixed. However, due to limited number of posts (368 vacancies) the actual cut-off marks have been much above the minimum qualifying marks. The board has uploaded the separate category wise cut-off list for each railway zone along with the result PDF on its official websites.
Candidates need to visit the official login portal of Railway Recruitment Board to access their digital scorecard. Mainly two credentials are required to login: First, your valid Registration Number or Roll Number, and second, your Date of Birth (DD/MM/YYYY) as the password. Along with this, it is mandatory to fill the security captcha code visible on the screen. If a candidate has lost his/her registration number, he/she can retrieve it through OTP verification on his/her registered mobile number or email ID using the ‘Forgot Registration Number’ option available on the portal.
