Rouse Avenue Court extends Manish Sisodia's judicial custody till April 18

Former Delhi Deputy CM and Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia, accused in the alleged liquor scam case in Delhi, was produced in the Rouse Avenue Court on Saturday, April 6. Rouse Avenue Court has extended the judicial custody of Manish Sisodia till April 18.

Rouse Avenue Court had imposed fine on Manish Sisodia in money laundering case.

Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who has been in jail for the last one year in the Delhi Excise Policy scam case, did not get relief from the court even on Saturday. Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court has refused to grant him bail and extended his judicial custody till April 18. Manish Sisodia, accused in the money laundering case related to the excise scam, has once again received a shock from the Rouse Avenue Court.

In this case, Aam Aadmi Party's Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has got bail but it is necessary for him to come in the hearing of the case. Manish Sisodia's judicial custody is ending today. After several months, both are present together in the court room.

Manish Sisodia is expected to come out of jail

Earlier, Manish Sisodia had written a letter to his voters from Tihar jail, in which he compared their situation with the atrocities committed by the British on freedom fighters and expressed his commitment towards education. Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Sisodia, arrested in the Delhi Excise Policy scam case, has also expressed hope that he will soon be released from jail.

He said that his inspirations were Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela, who spent many years in jail. The bail hearing of AAP leader Sisodia is going on in a Delhi court on Saturday. In a letter to the people of his assembly constituency Patparganj in East Delhi, Sisodia said the struggle for good education and schools is going on in the same way people had fought for the country's independence.

Manish Sisodia, who was the education minister in the Kejriwal government before his arrest, said in the letter, “Long live the education revolution.” Love you all. He said that during his jail term, his love for the people of his constituency has increased and they are his strength. He said that despite the dictatorship of the British rulers, the dream of independence came true. Similarly, every child will get good education one day. Good education is necessary for a developed country.
