RoundGlass Hockey Academy on top after second week of matches

Mohali, July 8 (HS). RoundGlass Hockey Academy (RGHA) has reached the top of the Punjab Hockey League table after winning both their matches in the last week. They have six points from two matches, while second-placed SGPC Hockey Academy of Amritsar also has six points from four matches. Surjit Hockey Academy PIS of Jalandhar is currently in third place with five points from two matches.

RGHA defeated PIS, Ludhiana 6-0 in their first match of the league played at Balbir Singh Senior International Hockey Stadium, Mohali. Arjandeep Singh scored twice while Amandeep, Harshjot Singh, Japneet Singh and Navjot Singh scored 1-1 for their team. In the second match of the day played at the same stadium, SGPC Hockey Academy, Amritsar defeated PIS Mohali 7-1.

RGHA then bounced back on Sunday with a sensational 8-1 win over SGPC Hockey Academy, Amritsar to top the table. In the second match of the day, Namdhari Sports Academy registered their first win in the league by beating PIS Mohali 4-1.

The next set of matches will be played on July 13 and 14 at the Olympian Prithvipal Singh Hockey Stadium in Ludhiana.
