Rohit Sharma held a meeting with BCCI on Hardik Pandya issue? Responding, he said – To be honest…

T20 World Cup 2024: After IPL 2024, now T20 World Cup 2024 will be played. There is a lot of discussion about this tournament to be held in West Indies and America. Besides, speculations are also being made about where the Indian players will get a place.

Rohit termed the meeting as a rumor

It is discussed that Indian captain Rohit Sharma has held a meeting with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) chief selector Ajit Agarkar and head coach Rahul Dravid regarding the selection of the team. But now Rohit has called all these news as rumors and said that no such meeting took place.

Two main issues were discussed

Media reports have claimed that two major issues were discussed during the meeting between Rohit, Agarkar and Dravid. According to reports, the selectors want Hardik Pandya to bowl more in the IPL to cement his place in the T20 World Cup team. It is being told that in the meeting, there was also discussion on fielding Virat Kohli as the opening batsman along with Rohit Sharma.

Rohit gave clarification in the podcast

But Rohit has now clarified that no such meeting took place. Rohit said in a podcast with Michael Vaughan and Adam Gilchrist, “I have not met anyone. Ajit Agarkar is playing golf somewhere in Dubai. Dravid watching his children play in Bengaluru. To be honest, we have not met. I think that's right.” Now, as far as the matter is concerned, if you do not hear anything from me, Agarkar, Dravid or any BCCI official on camera, then consider it as fake news.
