Rohan Jaitley becomes DDCA chairman for the second time, serious allegation made

Rohan Jaitley has once again hoisted the flag in DDCA elections. He has retained this post by defeating former Indian cricketer Kirti Azad. This will be Rohan’s second consecutive term as the President of Delhi and District Cricket Association. A total of 2,413 votes were cast in the election, out of which Rohan won a landslide victory by securing 1577 votes. Kirti Azad had to be satisfied with just 777 votes.

Counting of votes took place on 17 December and the President needed at least 1207 votes to be re-elected. Many members who had previously served in Rohan Jaitley’s administration have also managed to retain several senior positions. Shikha Kumar was elected Vice President of DDCA by defeating Rakesh Kumar Bansal and Sudhir Kumar by a wide margin. Ashok Kumar won the post of Secretary and Harish Singla will take charge of the post of Treasurer. Apart from him, Amit Grover will be victorious and will hold the post of Joint Secretary. DDCA elections were held on 13, 14 and 15 December.

Kirti Azad made serious allegations

Senior Trinamool Congress leader Kirti Azad accused Rohan Jaitley’s administration of corruption. He alleged that DDCA received Rs 140 crore from BCCI in the last financial year, but it spent very little of it. Making many allegations, he also said that under the leadership of Rohan Jaitley, Rs 17.5 crore was spent on installing flood lights, whereas the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is much bigger than the stadium in Delhi. The cost of installing flood lights was Rs 7.5 crore. Azad said that DDCA has spent Rs 19 crore in making 8 lifts.
