Nainital, June 5 (HS). The three-day 155th annual function of Sherwood College, a prestigious school of the educational city of Nainital, concluded on Wednesday with various programs. On this occasion, Robin Hood House, which performed excellently, won the Best Cock House Trophy.
On the occasion of the closing ceremony, the Indian Music Society of the students enthralled the audience with mesmerizing music under Swaranjali in the auditorium of the school. The audience appreciated it a lot.
On this occasion, the chief guest, retired Rear Admiral Deepak Bansal, who was the college captain of the 1982 batch of the school and received the Vishisht Seva Medal, said that he has reached this position due to the education of Sherwood. This school is still carrying out the tradition of 155 years very well. He shared the memories of the days spent in the school and praised the programs presented by the students. Earlier, cultural programs were held in the school premises till late last night. In this, a wonderful presentation of torch light and gymnastics was done. Apart from this, dramas and choir music entertained the audience. At the end of the function, Principal Amandeep Sandhu presented the annual report of the school and thanked the guests. On this occasion, senior scientist of DRDO Dr. Nidhi Bansal, Gregman, Principal of Modern School Delhi Dr. Vijay Dutt, Hem Chandra Pandey, Basu Sah and Manmohan Singh along with parents and students were present.
