Robbery accused who was absconding for 18 years in Faridabad arrested

Faridabad, June 25 (HS). The team of Crime Branch Sector-17 has arrested the accused who was a PO in an 18-year-old robbery case. Police spokesperson said on Tuesday that the arrested accused's name is Javed who is a resident of Meerut. Crime Branch 17 arrested the accused with the help of STF Ambala after the court declared him PO in a robbery case of 2006. A case was registered against the accused in January 2006 at Sector 31 police station under the sections of robbery and illegal weapons, in which the accused along with his three other accomplices were also involved.

The accused fled to Meerut after committing the robbery, where he was arrested by the UP Police. After this, the accused was brought from Meerut to Faridabad and was produced in the court and sent to jail. After this, the accused came out of jail on bail but did not go back to jail. In November 2023, the accused was declared PO by the Hon'ble Court. In the year 2023 itself, a reward of 5000 was placed against the accused by the police department. The accused used to run a clothes shop in Meerut, who was arrested by the police. After the completion of the police interrogation, the accused was produced in the court and sent to jail.
