Mumbai – Mumbai Municipal Corporation has taken strict action against a contractor after a batch of a batch of mix concrete prepared for road construction. Late Shri on 20 March. The issue came to light during a surprise inspection conducted by Additional Municipal Commissioner (Projects) on Neetu Mandke Road and Chembur Maharishi Dhyanand Saraswati Road by Additional Municipal Commissioner (Projects).
Slamp tests conducted to evaluate the functionality and water-cement ratio of the concrete revealed that the slump reading at the work site, compared to the slump reading recorded at the RMC plant, was more than an expected. It is necessary to select the right mixture to maintain the strength of the required concrete. He said that a detailed circular with the outline of these measures will be released soon.
