News India Live, Digital Desk: After the brutality and death of a student preparing for NEET in Patna, serious questions are being raised on law and order. In this matter, the main opposition party RJD has taken the Nitish government to task. MLA Bhai Virendra said that this incident is shameful to humanity. He warned that if the government does not ensure speedy justice in this case and does not give death penalty to the culprits, then a wrong message will be sent to the society and the safety of daughters will be in danger forever.

“Nothing less than hanging is acceptable”: Brother Virendra’s tough stance

Brother Virendra said while talking to the media that if daughters are not safe in a city like Patna, then it is the failure of the police administration.

Demand for harsh punishment: The MLA said, “To stop such incidents, ‘speedy trials’ should be conducted and death penalty should be given to the criminals. If we remain silent today, then tomorrow someone else’s daughter will be the victim of this brutality.”

Questions on the role of police: He alleged that the police is trying to suppress the matter, which will not be tolerated.

What is the whole matter? (The Incident Case)

A student, who was preparing for NEET while staying in a hostel in the capital Patna, died under suspicious circumstances.

Allegation of family members: The family members claim that the student was first gang-raped and then murdered.

CCTV footage: Police are investigating some suspicious CCTV footage in which some youths were seen around the student.

Arrest: The police have so far detained some people in this case, but the main accused is still away from the police.

Deepening crisis on daughters’ safety

Brother Virendra took a dig at the state government and said that criminals have become unbridled in the “double engine” government. He said that the slogan of “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” is proving to be hollow in Bihar. Unless fear of law is created in the minds of criminals, daughters will not feel safe.
