More than a dozen villages are in the grip of floods. In rural and low-lying areas, houses and household goods of people have been submerged in water. At the same time, the administration has continuously activated teams for rescue work and is personally inspecting. People are being taken to relief camps. Relief material is being provided.
It is noteworthy that the water level of the rivers has increased due to the rain that happened in the last 48 hours. Its effect can be seen clearly. The movement of thousands of villagers has come to a complete halt due to water flowing over the culverts built in the villages. People heaved a sigh of relief as the water level of Betwa in the mouth decreased after reaching the danger mark. Due to which the danger of flood has been averted for the time being. The water level of Betwa had reached 119 meters by 4 o'clock a day before. Whereas the danger mark is at 122 meters. Eight villages of Konch area, three villages of Madhogarh area, 20 villages of Rampura area and 36 villages of Kalpi area are flood affected. People are facing the problem of waterlogging in Kadaura area. Water is flowing over the culvert in Mahavirpura. Due to which the movement of people has come to a complete halt. At the same time, the culvert of the village got completely submerged due to the Nun river originating from village Vyaspura of the tehsil area. Water started rising towards the village. Villagers are commuting from several kilometers away. Water is constantly rising on the causeway. Due to the continuous rain in Sirsaklaar area, water has filled the houses in Chhani, Ahir, Pipri, Tarasaur, Purva, Jaisinghpur, Jugiyapur villages. Water has filled the village two to three meters above. Due to which the household goods of the villagers have drowned. Village head Chhani Balesh Tiwari said that there are flood-like conditions in all the three villages of his Nyaya Panchayat. People are facing a lot of problems. Ramanand, Santosh, Ashrafilal, Ramshankar Kushwaha, Guddu Mishra, Meharban Singh, Nandlal Kushwaha said that due to lack of drainage, water has filled the houses.
At the same time, about seven hundred meters of Bhaipta Nari Road in Pahad village is submerged in water. Due to which the village has lost connectivity. People are leaving by risking their lives. Villagers Hargyan Pal, Sandeep Tiwari, Raghavendra Mukhiya, Shivraj, Pawan Dubey, Radhe Maharaj, Chetram Pal, Parshuram Pal, Durga Pal said that due to the non-arrival of the administration, people are forced to leave by risking their lives.
Yamuna is one meter away from the danger mark, flood like situation in many villages
The water level of Yamuna is rising due to continuous rain in the district for the last three days. Many villages are in flood like situation and some villages have lost connectivity. Till 6 pm on Friday, the water level of Yamuna was flowing one meter below the danger mark. The danger mark is 108 meters.
Rupesh Kumar, in-charge of Central Water Commission, said that the water level of Yamuna is rising rapidly due to heavy rains in the upper region. Some water has been released from Kota Barrage Dam of Chambal. Therefore, the water level is rising continuously. On Saturday morning, the water level of Yamuna has crossed the danger mark. SDM Sushil Kumar Singh, Tehsildar Abhinav Kumar Tiwari said that the regional boatmen have been alerted in the coastal areas of Yamuna. If the water rises further, then the villages of Devkali, Kiratpur, Mainpur, Gudha Khas, Sheikhpura Gudha, Hirapur, Mangraul, Pipraundha, Sikri of the area will be cut off from the connecting roads. The water level of the rivers is rising in Rampur. The water level of Pahuj River and Sindh River flowing in Rampur area is rising continuously. The connecting roads of the villages Budhera, Muhabbatpura, Kusepura, Kishanpura, Ninnawali Jagir, Naraul and Siddhpura situated near the Pahuj River have been completely closed. The villagers are worried that if the water level rises further, the water of Pahuj river will flood the village.
On the other hand, seeing the rising water level of Sindh river, villagers Rakesh, Virendra, Arvind, Gudda said that the water level of the river is rising rapidly. Due to the rising water level of the rivers on Friday, the connectivity with villages like Bilhaur, Jakhaita, Dikouli Jagir, Mirzapura Jagir, Rithora, Bhelwali, Sundarpura etc. has been lost. The water level of the five rivers is also continuously rising at Panchnad near Jagmanpur.
