New Delhi, August 10 (HS). Indian female wrestler Ritika Hooda lost in the quarter-finals of the women's 76kg freestyle wrestling event at the Paris Olympics 2024.
In the quarter-finals, she faced top seeded Kyrgyzstan's Aperi Medet Kaiji. The match ended in a 1-1 draw but the last point was scored by Aperi Kaiji. Due to this, she got a place in the semi-finals. Now if the wrestler from Kyrgyzstan reaches the finals, then Ritika will get a chance to play the repechage.
Earlier, Rithika had made it to the quarterfinals after defeating Hungarian wrestler Bernadette Nagy 12-2 in the round of 16 match.
