Jaipur, 3 September (HS). Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma said that there are immense possibilities of investment in Rajasthan. The 'Rising Rajasthan' summit being organized from 9 to 11 December will open new doors for investment in the state. He said that through the summit, investors will not only get an opportunity to get acquainted with the industrial development potential of the state but they will also be able to become strong partners in the journey of developed Rajasthan.
Chief Minister Sharma was presiding over a meeting regarding the preparations for the 'Rising Rajasthan' summit in the Chief Minister's Office on Tuesday. He directed that all necessary preparations should be completed on time as per the participating countries participating in the summit for investment. A nodal officer should also be appointed to establish coordination in the context of road shows and other investment related activities. He said that the state government is taking every possible initiative to ensure a better environment for industrial investment in the state and in this sequence this summit will create ample employment opportunities along with the development of the state. The objective of this investment summit is to attract domestic and foreign companies, international institutions and investors to invest in the state.
Roadshows in South Korea and Japan, meetings with investors
The Chief Minister said that the state government is going to organize investor road-shows at the international level to bring big investors to the 'Rising Rajasthan' summit. In this sequence, investors will be invited to invest in infrastructure, chemicals, automobile, electronics and food processing etc. by conducting road-shows, one-to-one meetings and MoUs in South Korea from 9 to 10 September and in Japan from 11 to 13 September. He informed that a tourism road-show will be organized in Seoul, South Korea on 9 September. Also, a round table conference will be held with Korea Stone Association on 10 September. Mr. Sharma informed that road-shows, Neemrana-Day celebrations and meetings with corporate companies will be organized in Tokyo, Japan from 11 to 13 September. He said that in the coming time, the state government will organize such events in many countries like United Kingdom, Germany and United Arab Emirates.
Road show will be organized in Delhi
The Chief Minister said that under 'Rising Rajasthan', the state government is organizing investor road shows in various cities of the country and abroad, so that investors from all over the world can be invited to invest in Rajasthan. At the end of this month, the state government is going to organize an investor road show in Delhi. He instructed the officials to contact all the entrepreneurs working in Delhi and invite them in maximum numbers for the event. Mr. Sharma said that the officials should also coordinate with the expatriate Rajasthani industrialists and ensure to connect them with all investment related events.
Abundant natural resources are a boon for the state
The Chief Minister said that the state has abundant natural resources, which will change the economic picture of the state. The availability of vast land and resources for solar energy, tourism, wildlife, minerals and industrial activities here opens the door to immense investment possibilities in the state. Major infrastructure projects like Greenfield Expressway, Jaipur Metro, Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project, Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and Western Freight Corridor are providing a favorable environment for investment here.
'Rising Rajasthan' will become 'Role Model Summit'
Sharma said that the officers should make every possible effort to make Rising Rajasthan, being organised on the lines of Vibrant Gujarat and Uttar Pradesh Investors Summit, a 'role model summit'. All activities and programmes should be organised in a timely manner under an action plan. He also gave instructions to do extensive publicity for the successful organisation of Rising Rajasthan Summit.
Industry and Commerce Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore, Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, Additional Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Shikhar Aggarwal, Principal Secretary to the Industry and Commerce Department Ajitabh Sharma, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Alok Gupta, Managing Director RIICO Shivprasad Nakate and other senior officials were present in the meeting.
