Rishabh Pant's journey was full of ups and downs. The Board of Control for Cricket in India and Team India showed a lot of faith in Pant and Pant also lived up to it. Pant was part of the title-winning Team India in the 2024 T20 World Cup. Now the Indian wicketkeeper-batsman wanted to show off his medal through social media, but Akshar Patel and Mohammad Siraj spoiled everything by making funny comments on his picture.
Pant shared a picture with the medal on Instagram, in which he is seen wearing the T20 World Cup 2024 winner's medal. Captioning the photo, he wrote, this medal has a different effect on you. Barely an hour after Pant posted the picture, Akshar Patel commented on it and wrote, “Brother, I have the same thing. After some time, Mohammad Siraj also posted a picture of Pant.” Replying to Akshar Patel's comment, he wrote, “Akshar Bhai, I have the same thing too.”
Pant made a brilliant comeback
On 30 December 2022, Rishabh Pant had a car accident in which he was seriously injured. This accident kept Pant away from cricket for more than a year. After fully recovering from the accident, Pant returned to the cricket field for IPL 2024.
The 2024 T20 World Cup was to be played immediately after the IPL and there was no T20 International series during this period. In such a situation, there was speculation that Pant, who has not played international cricket for a long time, would not be selected in Team India, but the board and the team kept faith in him and made him a part of the tournament team and played as the main wicketkeeper in all the matches.
