Rioting complaint filed against mob of protesting students at MSU VC's bungalow

Vadodara: Clashes broke out between police and students during a student protest over mess fee hike at the controversial MS University in Vadodara. The protesting students are now in trouble as Sayajiganj police have filed a riot complaint against a mob of 200 unidentified students.

On 28 June, 200 students of MS University hostel protested at the VC's bungalow over the food fees. Meanwhile, Sayajiganj police reached the spot. There were scenes of tension between the police and the students. Due to this, Sayajiganj police have now registered a case of rioting against a mob of unknown students.

A case was registered at Sayajiganj police station against a group of about 200 unidentified students under sections 143, 147, 447 and 427 of the IPC in connection with the protest at the VC's bungalow of the university. This has angered the students and the students' union.
