Rewari, 28 November (Hindustan Reporter). Four police station in-charges have been booked for their negligence in the case of jewelers showroom robbery in Rewari. Rewari SP has suspended everyone. The officers who have been suspended include Bawal police station in-charge Inspector Lajpat, City police station in-charge Inspector Surendra Singh, Model Town police station in-charge Inspector Mukesh Chand and Rohdai police station in-charge Bhagwat Prasad.

According to the orders issued on Wednesday night, Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rajpurohit has also ordered a departmental inquiry against all four. Which will be investigated by DSP Headquarters. After suspension, the headquarters of the four inspectors will be Police Lines Rewari. Before suspending all four, a show cause notice was issued for their negligence in this case, but except Rohrai police station in-charge Bhagwat Prasad, the SHOs of the three police stations did not even reply. The reply given by Inspector Bhagwat Prasad was found unsatisfactory.

On November 11, three armed criminals had carried out a robbery at Komal Jewelers in Katla Bazaar located in Bawal town of Rewari. The miscreants also fired two rounds of bullets. In which a bullet had hit Harendra, son of showroom owner Pritam Soni. After the robbery, the miscreants managed to escape easily.

According to the Superintendent of Police, a three-tier sealing scheme has already been implemented to prevent crime and arrest criminals during such criminal activities.

After the jewelers showroom robbery, a VT was flashed to all the units to arrest the criminals by setting up a naka as per the sealing plan. As per investigation, it has been found that after committing the above mentioned robbery, the criminals fled on bike passing through the jurisdiction of the four Inspector/SHO police stations. This shows that they showed gross negligence in arresting the criminals by setting up nakas on time as per the sealing plan. In view of the negligence of the four Inspectors/SHOs, Superintendent of Police Gaurav Rajpurohit on Wednesday issued orders to suspend them and ordered a departmental inquiry.
