Rewa, 29 April (Hindustan Reporter). National Human Rights Commission's Special Monitor Balkrishna Goyal inspected the old age home and the Central Jail during his stay in Rewa district on Monday. During the inspection of the old age home located at Swagat Bhawan, he took information about the Aadhar cards of the elderly people and the pension they were getting.
On this occasion, he directed that awareness programs should also be organized for the elderly. He directed that health check-up of the elderly people should be conducted every month in the old age home, in which specialists related to orthopedics including eye and teeth should be compulsorily present. He also talked about providing identity cards to the elderly.
During the inspection of the jail, Special Monitor Goyal directed that quality food should be provided to the prisoners and their health facilities should be taken care of. Ensure arrangements for 5-bed medical facility for female prisoners and the children living with them should also get all the facilities. Shri Goyal directed that it should be ensured that no prisoner remains in jail after getting bail. During the visit, he also gave instructions to provide life skills training to the prisoners.
