Revised program for preparing electoral rolls for urban body elections released

Raipur 21 October (His). Chhattisgarh State Election Commissioner Ajay Singh said on Monday that a partial amendment has been made in the date of Municipal Election Roll Revision Program issued earlier by the Commission. He said that some districts had requested to extend the last date for receiving claim objections regarding the electoral roll. After considering the requests received from the districts, the Commission has extended the earlier fixed date of receiving claim objections, October 23, by 1 week.

State Election Commissioner Ajay Singh said that according to the issued revised schedule, now the last date and time for receiving claims/objections has been fixed as Wednesday 30 October 2024 till 3 pm and the last date for disposal of claims/objections has been fixed as Friday 8 November 2024. Similarly, the last date for submitting claims in Form A-1 to the Registration Officer/Assistant Registration Officer has been fixed as Friday, 08 November 2024 and the last date for disposal of claims received in Form A-1 has been fixed as Tuesday, 12 November 2024.

Similarly, the last date for appealing against the resolution order of claims/objections is within 05 days of the passing of the resolution order and entry of cases of additions, amendments, deletions in the software is by Wednesday 20th November 2024, the checklist will be examined by the Election Registration Officer. Handing over to the district office for printing has been scheduled by Friday 22 November 2024 and printing of the supplementary list and attaching the supplementary list with the original list has been scheduled by Monday 25 November 2024 and the final publication of the electoral roll will be done on Wednesday 27 November 2024.
