Review regarding Lok Sabha elections, campaign will run on social media from March 4

Ranchi, March 02 (HS). As per the instructions of District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Ranchi Rahul Kumar Sinha, a review meeting of the preparations for the Lok Sabha general elections was organized in the Collectorate on Saturday. In the meeting, discussions were held regarding the operation of the social media campaign #Iam Verified Voter in the state from March 4. The campaign will be started on March 4 at all the polling stations in the entire state.

To vote in any election, it is mandatory for the voter's name to be registered in the voter list of the concerned polling station. In the past elections, such cases have come to light from some places where a voter goes to vote with his photo voter identity card, but due to the name of the concerned voter not being registered in the voter list, he is deprived of voting. To ensure that not even a single such incident happens in the upcoming Lok Sabha general elections, 2024, it has been decided to conduct #lamVerifiedVoter campaign through social media to make voters aware. The officials gave many instructions to the officials regarding this.

In the meeting, Special Divisional Officer James Surin, Additional Collector (Naxal), Sudarshan Murmu, Land Reforms Sub-Collector, Mukesh Kumar, Deputy Election Officer Vivek Kumar Suman, Prakshiman Sub-Collector Tribhuvan Singh and representatives of political parties and all concerned officers and officials. was present.
