Katihar, 06 November (HS). A meeting was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Manesh Kumar Meena to review the progress and updated status of various welfare schemes run by the Rural Development Department, Panchayati Raj Department, Minority Welfare Department and Welfare Department.
The DM reviewed the meeting mainly regarding selection and implementation of schemes, construction of sports ground, library, installation of solar plant, water life, greenery, progress of works and action against irregularities.
The District Magistrate, along with officials of various departments, gave many important instructions. He said that necessary steps should be taken to select useful schemes in Panchayats and ensure 100 percent expenditure by getting them administrative approval.
Deputy Development Commissioner, District Panchayati Raj Officer and all Block Panchayati Raj Officers and other district level officers were present in this meeting. The main objective of this meeting was to review the progress of the schemes of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department and give necessary instructions.
The District Magistrate said that necessary steps should be taken to carry out renovation work of all the identified ponds and wells under the Jal Jeevan Hariyali Scheme. Also, it was asked to construct sports grounds and libraries in all the panchayats and to provide necessary materials.
