Darbhanga: The progress of ongoing road construction works under the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) was reviewed on Friday. This review meeting was organized in the divisional meeting room under the chairmanship of Darbhanga Division Commissioner Manish Kumar. Senior officials of Darbhanga, Samastipur and Madhubani districts participated in this meeting through video conferencing.
Attention to quality and time limit in construction work
Commissioner Manish Kumar gave strict instructions to all the officers that the roads under construction should be completed within the stipulated time and quality. He especially gave instructions to upgrade the two lane road from Darbhanga to Samastipur to four lane. He said that all the processes required for this work should be completed as soon as possible.
Review of flyover construction in Darbhanga city
A detailed review was also conducted of the flyovers to be constructed in Darbhanga Municipal Corporation area, which include:
- Delhi Mod
- Chatti Chowk
- Pandasarai
- tiger twist
- Donar
The Commissioner directed to complete the construction work of these flyovers on time so that the people of the city can get relief from traffic jams.
Four lane road construction near AIIMS
It was also decided in the meeting that a four-lane road would be built next to the under-construction AIIMS hospital. The construction of this road will provide a lot of convenience to the people. The Commissioner directed the officials that there should not be any hindrance in the process of land acquisition.
Darbhanga-Amas four lane project
Necessary instructions were also given to speed up the construction work of the four-lane highway from Darbhanga to Amas. Along with this, the construction of roads and land acquisition process of Darbhanga, Samastipur and Madhubani was thoroughly reviewed.
Foundation stone laid for reconstruction of roads in Runnisaidpur
On the other hand, in Runnisaidpur, MLA Pankaj Kumar Mishra laid the foundation stone for the reconstruction work of two roads on Friday. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the state government is working on the development of basic facilities like electricity, water, education, health as well as roads.
Road projects laid foundation stones:
- Athri Chowk to Khadka Dam:
- Length: 3450 meters
- Expenditure: Rs 2.22 crore
- Runnisaidpur Ram Janaki Temple to Chakdonai:
- Length: 1.800 meters
- Expenditure: Rs 1.08 crore
The construction of these roads will help in connecting remote rural areas with the mainstream of development.
