Katihar, 12 November (HS). A review meeting of NITI Aayog was organized under the chairmanship of Union Minister of State (Cooperation) Krishna Pal Gurjar in the NIC room of Katihar Collectorate. The progress and achievements of Katihar district were discussed in the meeting. Officials of various departments of the district presented reports of their work.
Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar-cum-Sadar MLA Tarkishore Prasad, Legislative Councilor Ashok Aggarwal, Barari MLA Vijay Singh, Kodha MLA Kavita Devi, Pranpur MLA Nisha Singh, District Magistrate Manesh Kumar Meena, Deputy Development Commissioner Amit Kumar etc. were present in the meeting.
Under NITI Aayog, the progress of Katihar district in various indices of health and nutrition, education, agriculture and water resources, financial inclusion and skill development and infrastructure was reviewed. Various departments of the district presented reports of their work and further plans were discussed.
Union Minister of State Krishna Pal Gurjar appreciated the progress of Katihar district and gave necessary directions for further plans. He asked the officials of various departments of the district to be more effective and speedy in their work.
At the end of the meeting, District Magistrate Manesh Kumar Meena thanked NITI Aayog for its cooperation in the development of Katihar district. He said that the district administration will work with NITI Aayog for the development of Katihar district.
