Review meeting held on execution of works under Capex Budget 2024-25

Kathua, July 22 (HS). Deputy Commissioner Kathua Dr. Rakesh Minhas chaired the District Capex Budget 2024-25 review meeting. In the meeting, CPO Kathua asked each BDO to complete the estimate of all the projects as soon as possible so that the administrative agreement and subsequent tendering of all projects and schemes can be completed as soon as possible.

The DC said that the focus of this year's capex plan is to create substantial development assets especially in health and education sector and timely execution of works will help in achieving concrete targets. The DC asked the CPO to identify one location in each block for new handpumps in consultation with the concerned BDOs. He asked the BDOs to keep a budget of Rs 50000 from BDC grants for repairing faulty handpumps. The DC directed the BDOs to draft schemes related to groundwater and PDD projects in consultation with the concerned departments so that proper allocation of funds can be made besides completing them in the current financial year. The meeting was attended by XEN REW, BDOs and other district officers and officials.
