Vinesh Phogat may have announced her retirement from wrestling, but she has a record in her name which will not be easy for any woman to make. Vinesh has participated in three consecutive Olympics. She is the first Indian female wrestler to play in three consecutive Olympics.
Vinesh has been a part of Rio, Tokyo and Paris Olympics. However, the sad thing is that she did not get a medal in any of the Olympics. She got injured during the Rio Olympics, due to which she had to leave the match midway.
Even though Vinesh has not won any medal in the Olympics, she has performed brilliantly in events like Asian Games, Commonwealth Games and World Championships. Vinesh won medals in the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games and made the country proud.
Vinesh Phogat also became the Asian champion in 2018. She won the gold medal in the 50 kg event. She has won bronze medals twice in the World Championships. Phogat won these medals in 2019 and 2022.
