Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shri Keshav Prasad Maurya ji has described the budget of Rs 19 lakh 12 thousand 6 hundred 96 crore for the year 2026-27 as a historic and public welfare budget in the direction of all-round development of the state, poor welfare and creation of self-reliant Uttar Pradesh.

Shri Maurya said that the Rural Development Department has proposed Rs 25,500 crore for the development of remote areas of the state. The transport system will be further strengthened through Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana with Rs 8,22 crore, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana and other road schemes of the state. The provision of Rs 5,544 crore for the Ji-Ram-Ji scheme and 125 days’ guaranteed employment has awakened confidence among the public. With the provision of Rs 5 thousand 5 hundred 80 crore in the budget for National Rural Livelihood Mission, women of self-help groups will be economically empowered. A provision of Rs 6 thousand 1 hundred 2 crore has been made for the operation of Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana for poor and destitute villagers.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that in the budget, priority has been given to the interests of small and marginal farmers along with increasing the income of farmers, expansion of irrigation facilities, crop protection and encouragement to agro-based industries, which will give new energy to the agriculture sector. Employment opportunities will be created for the youth through skill development, startup and MSME sectors.

In the field of women empowerment, provision has been made in the budget to ensure safety, self-reliance and economic participation of women through several schemes. The government is committed towards economically strengthening the self-help groups by empowering them.

He said that this budget is going to realize Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s resolve of “Developed India” and the spirit of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas” under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
