Replies and claims should be submitted in the High Court within the time limit: Commissioner Deepak Singh

Indore, May 27 (HS). Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh said that the officers in charge of all the departments should submit their replies and claims within the time limit in the cases pending in the Hon'ble High Court. Study each case of defamation. In cases where appeal is to be made, the appeal should be made within the time limit. In case of compliance, ensure that it is followed in a legal manner.

Divisional Commissioner Deepak Singh also directed all the officers to study the new circulars of the government. In this meeting held through video conferencing on Monday, the cases pending for reply from the year 2010 to 2024 in the Hon'ble High Court Bench Indore were reviewed. Joint Commissioner Litigation Sally Kanash, Assistant Commissioner Rekha Sachdev and officers in charge of all the districts of Indore Division were present in the meeting.

It was told in the meeting that there are a total of 20 thousand 544 pending cases related to writ petitions of all departments in the Hon'ble High Court Bench Indore from the year 2010 to 2024. Out of these, reply claim has been submitted in 14 thousand 627 cases and reply claim is to be submitted in 5 thousand 917 cases. There are a total of 431 cases of contempt in which reply claim has been submitted in 220 cases.
