New York: India Day Parade is organized every 15th August in New York. This tradition started in 1981. Thousands of Indians take part in this parade. This year's India Day Parade is going to be special. Every year there are different 'flats' in the parade. This year, along with these tableaux, there will also be a tableau of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Giving this information, Vishwa Hindu Parishad of America (VHPA) General Secretary Amitabh Mittal said that this tableau will have an 18 feet long, 9 feet wide and 8 feet high replica of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
On January 22 this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had consecrated the idol of Lord Shri Ram in the newly built Ram temple in Ayodhya. At that time, top scholarly heads were present. They did this consecration with Vedic mantras. This ceremony was appreciated by Hindus all over the world, including Hindus based in America.
India's Independence Day is celebrated on 15 August in other cities of America including New York. Thousands of Indians are sure to participate in this India Day parade in New York. It is estimated that around 1,50,000 people will gather this time. Amitabh Mittal said that the parade will start from East Thirtieth Street and will go till East Twentieth Street and East Fifteenth Street will remain closed.
