Bettiah: Mayor Garima Devi Sikariya said that the renovation work of the mass marriage hall of Kalidham temple complex situated in ward three of the municipal corporation area will now start at a cost of Rs 14.96 lakh. She was giving information about the scheme after handing over the work order of this ambitious scheme given by ward councilor Sahamat Ali and approved by the Municipal Corporation Board. Mayor Mrs. Sikariya said that the protection, security and enhancement of all the historical heritages of the entire municipal corporation area has been included in my top priorities from the beginning. The mayor said that the plan to renovate the gate, platform, stairs, wall etc. in the boundary of the marriage hall located in the Kalibag temple complex, which has been in a dilapidated condition for years, will be started soon. According to the work order issued, the plaster of the entire wall of this historical marriage hall will be removed and new plaster will be done. Keeping the decoration of the leaking roof of the marriage hall intact, PCC will be cast on the roof. Apart from this, a new staircase of 13/7 size will be reconstructed by installing granite stone. It includes increasing the height of the 205 feet long boundary by installing a grill, wall putty on the old and damaged plaster of the entire marriage hall, renovation of the entire marriage hall along with grill for security in front of the hall and construction of a beautiful gate. It includes two doors of size 5 by 6.5 feet and 4 by 6.5 feet, tiling on the stage and the entire floor of the marriage hall, stairs, platform etc. Along with this, the plan of tiling the drinking water tap for easy supply, construction of three 5 by 5 feet aluminium windows of 7 feet height has also been approved. The plan of plastic painting of the entire building and boundary along with grill gate etc. has also been approved.
