Varanasi, 04 October (HS). Jyotishapeethadhishwar Jagadguru Shankaracharya has also supported the state president of Sanatan Rakshak Dal, Ajay Sharma, who was arrested for removing the Sai idol located in the temples of Kashi city. On Friday, Shankaracharya Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati released an audio message and described the work of Ajay Sharma as praiseworthy.

He said that removing the statue of Chand Mian from Sanatani temples is a scripture-based and praiseworthy act. Awareness came among some people to free their Sanatan Dharma temples from such anti-Sanatan Dharma activities and to create a sacred environment in the premises again. Especially when it came to light that the prasad that was being distributed from Tirupati Balaji temple and was being bought by the people, was being mixed with inedible substances in large quantities for a long time. In such a situation, the feeling of purification was awakened in the minds of people. Then they thought that these impurities that have come into the premises of our Sanatani temples should also be removed and some people stood up for this.

Shankaracharya said that the names of Brahmin Sabha, Sanatan Dharma Rakshak Dal and many other such organizations were given to us and they did a commendable job of removing the idol of Sai from Sanatani temples. Pandit Ajay Sharma, who was engaged in this work, has been arrested by the police on the complaint of some people on the suspicion of disturbing peace. And many other sections have also been imposed on them.

Shankaracharya said that the Varanasi administration has done such work. What we do not understand is that if we are doing any purification and refinement in our temples, then what objection can people have to it? The people who were doing this work. He has clearly said that if someone is a devotee of someone then he should build a separate temple for him and worship him there.
