Kathua 21 May (Hindustan Reporter) On the 33rd death anniversary of former Prime Minister late Rajiv Gandhi, a program was organized by the Kathua unit of the Congress Party on Tuesday, in which former MP Chaudhary Lal Singh and party workers of the district paid tribute to Rajiv Gandhi by garlanding his portrait.
On this occasion, former MP Chaudhary Lal Singh said that former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi has contributed a lot to the progress and integrity of the country. Panchayati Raj Act was his gift for the development of rural areas of the country and today under Rajiv Gandhi Vidyut Yojana, even the backward villages of the country are shining with light. He said that the Gandhi family has played an important role in the development of the country since independence. He said that in the coming days, the Congress government is going to be formed, so we should follow the path shown by him and work together for the progress of the country, so that his unfulfilled dreams can be realized.
Singh said that in the last 10 years, democracy has been murdered, people have been tortured, youth have become unemployed, all this is going to get rid of very soon. He said that the results of Lok Sabha elections are going to come on June 4 in which Congress coalition government is going to be formed. He said that BJP's slogan of 400 will now remain just a slogan. Those who paid tribute included Pramjit Singh Pamma, Narendra Khajuria, Nirdosh Sharma, Pawan Kumar, Vikas Sharma and other workers.
