Relief to Municipal Corporation in white placard case, claim of Rs 72 crore rejected

Ghaziabad, 18 November (Hindustan Reporter). Monday brought a good news for Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation. Due to the strong advocacy of the Municipal Corporation, this project has been going on for almost 3 years. Arbitration rejected the claim of Rs 72 crore on the white placard case. In the decision, 40 hearings were conducted intensively by the Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation. The 41st hearing was decided in the interest of the corporation on 17 November 2024. Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Malik himself was keeping an eye on it and was guiding the law department.

The Municipal Commissioner said that on 28 November 2021, an appeal was filed by White Placard before the Honorable High Court, in which the firm had made a claim of Rs 72 crore against the Municipal Corporation on 23 April 2022. After this, Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation filed its counter claim of Rs 125 crore on 30 October 2022, after almost 2 years, effective action was taken due to the tireless efforts of the Law Department of Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation.

Under the able leadership of Municipal Commissioner Vikramaditya Singh Malik, Ghaziabad Municipal Corporation is continuously working in the interest of the city. In the same sequence, the oldest ongoing case is also gaining momentum and a decisive situation is being formed, which is commendable. In compliance with the order of Allahabad High Court, a three-member committee of retired judges was formed. In which three arbitrators were appointed which included Janardan Sahay, Rakesh Tiwari and Sanjay Harkoli. Who gave the verdict in the white placard case. The then lighting in-charge Aash Kumar, law superintendent Vishal Gaurav and other team have also been motivated by the Municipal Commissioner.
