Relief packets provided to 92 flood-affected families | News India

Mirzapur, 18 September (HS). Relief packets were provided to 92 families on Wednesday at the Disaster Relief Chaupal for the families affected by flooding due to the rise in water level in the Ganga river. City MLA Ratnakar Mishra and District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan provided relief packets to 36 families of village Mallepur and 56 families of Harsinghpur in Tehsil Sadar.

The city MLA said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's intention is to provide immediate disaster relief to the disaster affected people in any way. He said that compensation will be provided to the people affected by floods after making every possible assessment. Two packets were made available to the affected people at the relief camp. MLA Chanbe Rinki Kol provided relief ration kits to eight families displaced due to possible erosion in Bijarpurkala village of development block Chanbe, who are living in the relief camp.

During this, Additional District Magistrate (Administration) Shiv Pratap Shukla, Sub-District Magistrate Sadar Asaram Verma, Tehsildar Sadar along with other concerned officers, employees and village head were present.
